Spring Tips for your Pet'sHealth

While you are in the mood for enjoying the warmer weather and doing some spring cleaning, here are some things you can do to help make sure your pet is healthy and safe:

  • Make escaping outside difficult. Good weather and frolicking critters may tempt your pet to scoot out the door. To convince him not to, ask people entering your home to open the door just a little and put their foot through first so he can't get through.

  • Microchip your pet in case he makes it out - it can happen despite our best efforts. Be sure to keep your contact information on record current so you can be reunited if he does get away.

  • Put products with chemicals where your pet can't get to them, such as in a cabinet, secured with a child safety device if needed. Cleaning products and medications are some examples.

  • Keep poisonous plants like Easter lilies out of reach.
